Fluid on the kidneys shouldn't be anything to worry about too much, my son had that when he was born (renal hydrolysis they call it). After some testing it was discovered he had reflux--the tubes going from his kidneys to his bladder were implanted at the wrong angle--and he had surgery to fix it.
