Nursery shopping

Now that we've found out what we're having, I'm starting to gather ideas and inspiration for the nursery. I think we've decided on painting the walls yellow. Just not sure what shade. But there's so much inspiration out there! I don't have any theme or set decor in mind just yet. These are just items that have caught my eye.

A few things I like on Etsy:

This is Bananas!!

Week 20 is here! The twins are now each the size of a banana!!
We had an awesome snowstorm over the weekend. So we ventured out in the snow for this weeks set of pictures. :)

I gotta say, I'm really loving my maternity coat. Early on, it was still cute even with a smaller belly but there's still SO much room to grow.

Also, we had the anatomy scan today or as some call it... the BIG ultrasound. This is the one where they measure and look at EVERYTHING and of course if you're wanting to find out...you find out the sex. In our case...the sexes.
Happy to say that all is well. Both are looking good. Measuring well. Four chamber heart. Hands and feet look all cute. Profile shots were adorable. Legs were stretching and kicking.....ok yeah I've yammered on enough....and the sexes are......one boy one girl! Woohoo!! One of each!!
I'm just giddily happy right now. I've got a couple of girls' names I'm quite excited about so I'm very happy I'll get to use one. I do have one boys name but we'll see if that's the one we settle on. We won't make the name announcement until their birth day. Sorry folks. Gotta hold something over your head. :)
And just so we've got this straight for future....marshmallow is the girl and peanut is the boy. lol

Paper xmas!

So with the move and all we haven't had a chance to unpack the christmas tree. I decided Saturday that we just couldn't go with not having a tree. And I didn't want to get a real one. Those are too much of a hassle. So I decided to make my own!

It's a little wonky but I like it.

And I've also been working on a new fabric bowl! This one has lots of hand sewing and embroidery. I'm trying something new.

When I was in Missouri in June, one of the yard sales was being run by a quilter. So there were all kinds of fabric and she also had a shoebox full of baggies of hexagons. Apparently she had started a Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt and it just became too much. I bought the entire shoebox for $1!
Now, I know my limits. I LOVE Grandmother's Flower Garden quilts and I would love to be able to make one myself. But I know there is no way I would be able to finish it. So I decided to use these for fabric bowls and other projects. There are a TON of hexagons in all kinds of great fabrics. I'm really excited to see how this turns out.

Big Ol' Belly

Week 19 and the kiddos are the size of a large heirloom tomato. Odd choice I think since tomatoes can range all over in size.

Random stuff:

My belly button is disappearing! Pretty soon I'll totally have an outie. Which is gonna freak Willie out. He doesn't like them. :)

Finding out all kinds of "fun" things they never tell you about pregnancy.

LOTS of kicking has been happening over the past 2 weeks. It's pretty neat to finally be able to feel little marshmallow and peanut. I always here it described as butterflies but I'd say it's more like popcorn. Willie's getting jealous and can't wait till he can feel them too.

The anatomy scan is Tuesday the 22nd so we should find out the sex of marshmallow. We already know peanut is a boy. And of course more importantly, make sure everyone is healthy and doing well. I can't wait!!!

We've decided that once we finalize the names, we'll be keeping that big reveal until their birthday.

And it's snowing!!! :) Happy weekend!!

Little Bell Peppers!

We're finally back on track with the belly pictures! It's week 18 and the twins are the size of bell peppers! Yeah I have no excuse as to why I'm not holding peppers this time. But look at the belly grow! I think I swallowed a basketball!
As always, more photos here. :)

Moved in!

Combo twin watch and update! We moved into the new apartment last Sunday! Yippee! And then finally got internet and cable installed at the end of the week. Double yippee! So now to unpack.

Oh the madness of moving. I can't wait to get everything situated so I can post some finished pictures! We're also planning on painting too. I'm so excited to be in an apartment where we're allowed to paint. Eeee! :)
Check out more week 17 pics here!
