Buzzz buzzy bzzzz bzzzz bzzzz

Ok I've got some serious catching up to do. Major picture posting ahead. I've received 6 ornaments so far from my swap partners in the ornament swap along with the traditions exchange swap, I also received a package from tamdoll for the pay it forward. Soooo...on with the pictures!

First the ornaments:

A really pretty glass etched one from Jana.
I've always wanted to try glass etching but it kinda scares me.

The cutest little wooden elephant with origami paper decoupaged on from Kirsty. He even has a little heart on the bottom of his foot. awwwww....

JoEllen
did something different. She made a cute little holiday banner/garland. So cute! Such a great idea!

Jacquie took one of her awesome holiday illustrations and turned it into an ornament.

Whit made such a cool glittery tree ornament! She even went above and beyond with her packaging and sent it in a nice tin with some yummy treats!

Adrienne made a very pretty and delicate crocheted snowflake.

And those are the ornaments I've received so far. Beautiful work ladies! Thank you so much!

Then I also joined the Holiday Traditions Exchange too. My partner Lucy was so generous and shared some very sweet traditions with me. Here are a couple of pics of some of the things I received.
A stocking she made from a vintage quilt top. This is very precious.

A handmade apron which I am super excited about. I've been dying to get my hands on a handmade apron. I love them so much! Check out the cute little embroidered birdy on the pocket!

And how awesome is this!! A sock monkey ornament! Love it! It's just too cute!

And here's what I received from tamdoll for the pay it forward. This cat is seriously too cute! And I also got an awesome little cuff!

And since my ornaments are on their way to my swap partners, I'll go ahead and post pictures of them too.

This has been one crazy hectic month. But lots of fun too! We'll be flying out tomorrow morning for Wyoming to spend Christmas with Willie's parents. I'll be bringing my laptop with me of course. But I still have loads of stuff to do before then. So I'm off to pack and clean. If you're doing any travelling this weekend, be safe and have a happy holiday!

Quickie

I just wanted to do a quick post this morning to say that I got three ornaments so far for the ornament swap and I also got my really sweet package for the traditions exchange swap. But I still need to take pictures. Things have gotten a bit out of control and hectic these past few days and I'm feeling like there aren't enough hours in the day. Ugh. I'll try to post pictures tonight and properly thank everyone. I also got my ornaments out in the mail so I'll post pictures of those too.

My Little Wicket

Well, I had to put my sugar glider to sleep last night. He wound up developing a tumor and just got really sick. I put it off as long as I could but it was obvious he was in pain and not happy. I've had him for 9 years. He was such a cutie! I'll miss him and those crazy noises he made. RIP wicky.

I Request A Do-over

Ok, so I've been thinking about my ornaments...and I'm not happy. I feel like they're a cop-out. And they don't say anything about me as a crafter. So...I'm scrapping them and moving on. Yes, extremely last minute. I'm not sure if my swap partners read my blog, but trust me, I'm working double over time to get these done to get out on time. They might be a day late. But here's a hint as to what medium I'll be working with....

My hand was killing me so I took a break and when I came back, that's what I found. Silly Jude.
So have faith! They will be much much better than the polymer clay ones. Maybe I'll give those out as stocking stuffers or something.

I want!!

Look at these awesome vinyls at miraentuinterior that you can stick on your wall. Makes me wish even more that I owned my own place rather than renting.

LOVE the kids ones too!

Feelin' christmasy.

We put our christmas tree up this weekend!
We just go the artificial route. I don't like having to clean up needles and I have a dog and a cat who would LOVE to snack on them! Plus we have a little tea light oil burner and we put some nice garland pine smelling oils in it so we still get that nice real christmas tree smell! No fuss, no muss!
Anyway, we bought a new artificial tree yesterday. We've been wanting to get one of those fake ones that looks real. So we finally did! I really like it!

Aaaaand, I also finished my ornaments for the Holiday Ornament Swap! So if you're in my group....unless you want to know what they look like...stop reading now.

I decided to make them out of polymer clay. I think they turned out pretty nice. I kept it really simple since I'm really new to working with polymer clay.

Oh! And it snowed just a smidge today! Yay!
