I'll Stumble For Ya

I'm sure I'm not the only person who has just learned about StumbleUpon.
I do believe I've found a new obsession. I can't stop! Basically, you register on this site and let them know your interests. Then you just install the little Stumble button and click..yay! random site! Then you just rate the sites as you go, which ones you like and which you don't. A magnificent way to waste time! Second click brought me to this. I've seen it so many times but it never fails to amaze me.
Ooooo...or how about this! Wow I need to stop. I'll never make it to bed at this rate.

Feeling ambitious?

So I know I'm not the only crafter that gets all ambitious around the holidays and says they're going to make all of their gifts this year. Well I'll just bypass that whole thing right now. It's only October but I know there is no way I'll be able to do that. Pledge Handmade is the next best thing though! You're basically just pledging that all of your gifts this year will be purchased from other indie crafters like yourself and requesting that others do the same for you! I love it! I'm a firm believer in karma. What goes around comes around so hopefully when I finally get around to selling some of my things, people will be feeling just as generous! First shopping stop of course will be Etsy but I've accumulated so many great indie shopping sites from my bloggy wanderings:
Poppytalk Handmade
Trunkt
The Curiosity Shoppe
I've also signed up for NaBloPoMo, where the challenge is to post every day in the month of November. I'm up for that!

Random ebay

I am really loving this Syroco fish I found on ebay. I want him for my bathroom! Except the color doesn't match it at all. He would need to be a nice chocolate brown or icky pink. Yeah, one of the downsides of renting. I'm really trying to work with it. Anyway, I wonder how he would look in brown?

Oops....

Yep, I fell off of posting again. I've been needing to run to Michaels to pick up some iron on binding because...YES!...I finished the rug! It just needs to be bound. So until it's truly complete I won't post it. And I already have my next design in mind. It's gonna be really cute. So my main motivation for posting today was to knock down my very sad previous post. Poor poor Mets. They just fell apart. I'm really surprised at how I've gradually become more and more interested in baseball. Not hugely interested but enough that I actually know most of the guys on the Mets names now. I know lots of people love David Wright but it's Jose Reyes for me.
How did this turn into a post about baseball? Anyway, I figured since I have nothing crafty or creative to show (as I seem to have hit a dryspell), I would point you to a website I've been loving recently while I browse all of my favorite blogs. It's very similar to Pandora....but better in my opinion. They give you a bio about the artist you're listening to and point you to other users that are also listening to them. It's a fun way to discover new music! Right now I'm really loving what comes up when I put in The Andrews Sisters or Damien Rice. So I'll leave you with that and hopefully tomorrow I will have something productive to show.
