Peek-a-boo!

Wow, did I slack off there or what?
Well, I haven't gotten around to making my next batch of cupcakes. I'm still working on one elusive ingredient.
So on to one of my current crafty projects. I'm working on a wallhanging from a doodle out of my sketchbook. It's coming along a bit slowly as I've gone through a creative slump. So I thought I would post some teasers of my progress.



I'm really excited too because I'm trying something a little different with this wallhanging. I'm going to stretch it on a frame rather than binding it like a quilt. I realized that one thing that always held me back on finishing my wallhangings was the thought of having to bind them. I find it tedious!
So let's see how long it takes me to finish this one.

Alrighty, second attempt at another cupcake recipe, yielded much better results! The flavor? Poppy Seed Cupcakes with Lemon Drizzle! They had a nice summery flavor to them. I really love the crunch that poppy seeds add! And I was also excited to finally get to use my zester to zest some lemons. Simple, I know.
What is it about the cupcake that draws so many to it? Infinite possibilities? The idea that everyone gets their own personal little cake? Or what about the fact that they are just so darn cute!
